What To Do When A Co-Worker Is Being Abused

What do you do when you know or suspect a co-worker is being abused at home? The issue of a co-worker’s domestic violence is something that will affect all of us at some point in life. Pretending it isn’t there is definitely the wrong choice.

The Smoky Mountain Sentinel is running a series on this subject, and this a link to the first segment, which briefly covers signs of possible abuse in the life of a co-worker. These signs include, but may not be limited to:

  • visible physical injuries that do not realistically match the explanations given
  • stress-related illnesses such as migraines, digestive problems, backaches, fatigue, etc.
  • addiction
  • depression
  • eating disorders
  • suicidal thoughts or attempts
  • and more

Find out more and learn what you can do, by reading this series, or even doing additional research to further educate yourself about this important issue.
